Your opportunity
- To lead their dynamic Risk Advisory team in UAE.
- Assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders.
- Participate in business development initiatives.
- Build strong internal relationships within the BDO Risk Advisory Services Division and across other Service Divisions.
- Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff.
- Contribute to people’s initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training Risk Advisory professionals.
- Contribute to the maintenance of an educational program to continually develop personal skills of staff.
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.

Key qualification & experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in a similar profile.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
- Must possess a relevant professional certification (CIA, CRMA, CPA, CA).
- Strong technical knowledge of the IIA’s Global Internal Audit Standards, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000), and Internal Control Frameworks
- Minimum 8 – 10+ years’ experience across multiple risk advisory services such as Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Policies and Procedures development, Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), External Quality Assessment and Compliance Management
- Knowledge of local regulations (ADAA, CMA / SCA, CBUAE, DFSA, ADGM FSRA) is preferred
- Data Analytics and hands-on experience using technology / data analysis tools on audit and advisory projects
- 2 - 3+ years of managerial experience in leading people and strategies.
- Prior consulting experience including leading audit and advisory projects across multiple business areas
- Experience across multiple industries such as banking / financial services, real estate, hospitality, education and public sector / UAE government. However, financial services (banking, digital assets) is a mandatory requirement and preferably in the UAE.
- Managing relationships with, and presenting reports to, senior management and executive management
- Business thinking, innovation and problem-solving
