Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct external audits for clients in accordance with BDO audit methodology, ensuring thorough and qualitative documentation.
- Assist clients in preparing or reviewing financial statements for assigned projects, adhering to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Responsible for the overall project management of the audit engagement, which includes developing project plans, engaging with clients promptly, and ensuring timely delivery of audit outputs.
- Identify and discuss audit and accounting issues with the audit engagement team and clients in a timely manner, while proposing appropriate resolutions.
- Prepare reports to communicate findings and recommendations to clients, and work collaboratively to reach agreement on these points. Develop strengths to present to the Audit Committee/BOD/TCWG.
- Stay attuned to the evolving needs, commercial focus, and business objectives of clients, proactively anticipating potential issues and questions. Recommend relevant services and solutions that add value. Deliver exceptional client service by thoroughly understanding client requirements and ensuring prompt delivery of services. Ensure continuous professional development by keeping up-to-date with local regulations, International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS), changes to audit methodologies, and discussing these updates proactively with clients.
Experience & Education
- Chartered Accountant (ICAI, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAP, or any other renowned institute).
- 1-4 years of experience in Audit & Assurance.
- Well-versed with International Standards on Auditing and International Financial Reporting Standards, including recent updates.
- Exposure to data analytics and visualisation tools such as IDEA, Qlik, and Power BI is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a positive & enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong planning, leadership, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
